Santorini With Kids

Many of you have never visited Greece before. And now that you have kids, you’re thinking that maybe you should skip Santorini for later. Because you’ve heard that there are places in Greece, islands no less, more family friendly than Santorini. However, that’s not the case and you know it.

So is Santorini family friendly?

Yes, because there’s so many families already living here

Many Greek families have chosen to raise their kids in Santorini. There is abundance of flights to the mainland, a brand new and easy road system that connects the island, hospitals and clinics, schools, playgrounds and an easy going lifestyle. They love it here and so will you.

There’s so much to see and do

But not so much as to get tired. You can visit the famous volcanic beaches, some with black sand, one with red. Amazing. You can visit the archeological site of Akrotiri, and of course stroll the cobble stone alleys of Fira town, Oia, Imerovigli and enjoy vast caldera views and thrilling sunsets. Some of the said alleys are even accessible with a stroller, but bring your child carrier just in case.

Where to stay in Santorini

We believe that a family friendly stay can make every destination a perfect destination with kids. You can roam all day and know that when you get back to your hotel, there’ll be a warm welcome, food, a swimming pool and kids amenities that will help you relax. Especially when you travel from far away, it’s comforting to know that you don’t need to bring your entire home in your luggage; your hotel provides cots, high chairs, bath amenities for kids. Rivari Hotel in Santorini has all that and so much more: a playground and a kids pool among others. Last but not least, it’s an easy walk away from one of the top Santorini beaches, the black sand of Kamari. The beach road is car free in the evenings, for you to enjoy your dinner while kids play by the shore. Can you think of anything better?
